The Most Loved Mobile OS isnt iOS or Android Webos iOS android

Smart phone users can be passionate about their OS of choice. iPhone users and Android users just don’t get along. They love what they are used to and will nerdily defend it to the end. However, according to a recent AT&T poll, they are not the most loyal to their OS’s.

If one carrier could gauge the passion that various smartphone users have towards their devices, AT&T might be the best. They have the largest number of iPhone users, and quite the selection of other operating systems as well.

Surprisingly the chart above shows that WebOS is loved more than any other by its users. The users of WebOS seem to love their OS more than Android and far more than iOS or WP7.

Granted, the install base is small, but those who use WebOS are in love with its card-based goodness. It will be very interesting to see what happens with WebOS in the coming months as HP now owns both Palm and WebOS. Get ready to see a lot more of the worlds most loved mobile OS.

As a former WebOS user I am not surprised. I anxiously await word of the Pre 3 laniding on Sprint.

After my Palm Pre Plus broke last summer. I’d decided to switch to an Iphone. Although I do like IOS and freely hate to admit that it’s behind WebOS in functionality. WebOS is just beautiful and ahead of the game — and yes ahead of Droid too.

I’ll drop my be-loved IPhone for the Pre 3 in June. It’s true; I won’t have 100,000 apps to choose from, but than again most people only need a few good apps….

Most apps for android or ios are trash anyways. Webos is so great blackberry stole the ui for the playbook!
