We have seen a lot of amazing things made in Minecraft but this is just insane. After over 1000 hours at work a team of several players created this masterpiece in game on Minecraft.

A good chunk of this was made with plugins, but things like the mountains are all hand carved.

Its meant to look that way guys. If you haven’t played it, you can’t really cast judgement on it. Its about gameplay. Crafting, exploring and creating. Minecraft is amazing.

Why the fuck would they want to make it look like that?

Are they not pleased with the graphical tech we have?

The whole concept of the game is that everything made up of cubes. They can be broken down with various tools and reconstructed into whatever you can imagine — like the tools I mentioned. The asthetic matches the game.

Do you want super hi-res cubes?

Gameplay is the most important aspect of games. Visuals are important too, but a beautiful game that plays poorly is not good. Also, keep in mind that this game was initially developed by one person. Its a very indie game that has a cult following.
