We have all played platformers. Most of us have played a ton of them. Sideway: New York is unlike any platformer you have played, I guarantee it.
The game’s main character, Nox, is a graffiti artist who gets magically sucked into his artwork. The doer of this awful deed is called Fume, and he very predictably needs to be stopped from doing whatever it is he is doing. Now that Nox is inside his artwork he basically slides around the outside of buildings using paint to platform.
Moving around corners or going to the roof change the games orientation making for some awesome platforming. It’s very difficult to explain, actually. Lucky for you we have Youtube.
Difficult to explain, awesome to watch, hopefully more awesome to play. Sideway lands on PSN Oct. 11th for $9.99. Look for more coverage of Sideway very soon.
