Dragon’s Dogma, Capcom‘s highly anticipated open-world action title, has been confirmed for a May 22 release date, and a May 25 release date in Europe across all major platforms.
It has also been announced that purchasers of Dragon’s Dogma will receive first access to the Resident Evil 6 demo.
Dragon’s Dogma comes from the team that has produced some of Capcom’s greatest action games and promises a deep, fulfilling open world experience were players can interact with, combat and explore their beautiful surroundings.
Dragon’s Dogma also introduces a new ally system called the Pawns. Pawns are customizable AI partners which players can swap, level up and upgrade as they see fit. Also announced is the ability to share your pawns and receive others pawns in exchange for treasure and knowledge at a place called the Rift. Thousands of pre-made pawns will also be available for players at launch.
Major retailers such as Gamestop, Best Buy, and Amazon have also announced their pre-order bonuses for players looking to reserve their copy for day one.
Gamestop has announced the “pawn upgrade pack,” which will give the player extra rift crystals allowing them to rent higher-level pawns for their party.
Best Buy has announced the “armor upgrade pack” and Amazon has announced the “weapon upgrade pack,” which will boost the player’s armor and weapons respectively.
Capcom also announced they will be supporting the game with DLC offering new quests, armor upgrades and weapon upgrades post-launch.
