Recently Microsoft has been making a major push to turn the Xbox 360 into more than a gaming system — and they’ve succeeded. Yesterday, Yusef Mehdi, head of Xbox marketing, told the L.A. Times that Xbox Live users are now playing games less than they are enjoying the other features that Live has to offer. With apps such as Netflix and Pandora and the ability to watch live television, it’s no wonder that people are using their Xbox for more than just gaming. The average household spends 84 hours a month on Live, which is a 30-percent increase since last year.
