Free-to-play MMORPG Eden Eternal launches update aimed at new players

Aeria Games is quickly becoming a big name in the free-to-play industry, with games such as Dynasty Warriors Online and Realm of the Titans (which I recently enjoyed previewing here). Today they are announcing a big update for their free-to-play MMORPG Eden Eternal, which looks to attract new players and hang on to veterans.

The biggest feature is the “Super Newbie Guide,” which includes some new content that should make things flow more smoothly for new players. Perhaps the most important addition tweaks leveling up, making the process quicker. Speed is also a key issue addressed in this big patch, which also means increased efficiency. Players can now teleport between quests and the starting area, making returning a breeze. Along with this, alpaca mounts can be obtained to increase the speed of questing. Finally, the interface of the game has been retooled, making it easier to understand just what is going on in the game.

For players familiar with the game, key differences include a Crystal Cross Badge, which can be used to purchase decorative and vanity items for characters. Also, new events will be refreshing daily, meaning an exciting new journey every time you log in to Eden.
