It has been a long time my fellow Bitfixians, and I’m sorry for my absence. My life went from busy to suicidal with finals, papers and all. For some reason it has been surprisingly hard for me to start writing again, but I have resolved to fight through procrastination and into glorious writing. Let me start by telling you what I’ve been up to throughout the past month or so during my absence.
I think this the first time I’ve outed myself as an Eve player on the site. I’ve been playing on and off for about two years now and I still feel that there’s no game like it. Eve is an MMO based in space ships. It’s also one of the most complicated games I’ve played, second only to Dwarf Fortress. But that complexity adds so much to the setting and the sandbox atmosphere of the game. I could go on for days professing my love for this game, and I just might do that before too long. CCP recently released one of the free bi-yearly expansions called Inferno. And my missiles looks so pretty. If you’ve never tried, or have heard that Eve is just spreadsheets in space, I urge you to get a trial and give it a try. I’ll be happy to help any nublets out.
Squee, It’s finally out and better than I could have ever hoped for. Diablo 3 has maintained my attention and dedication longer than almost anything in the past few years, and I’m just getting warmed up. I’m sure much has been said about it already, and if you’re reading this then you probably already know what I’m talking about. Diablo is just plain fun, the loot grind is more compelling than ever and my character just feels strong (Monk). The social aspect and community behind the game are also great.
This game came out of nowhere for me. It’s a free-to-play fps that has a crazy amount of gun and character customization. I’ll do a video of the game soon and show you what I’m talking about. If you know what the gun’s receiver is, you’ll probably like this game.
This is what’s been keeping me busy and away from writing for the past few weeks. I’m sorry I haven’t been doing as much as I can for the site, but I hope to turn that around very soon. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned to TheBitFix.
