Firaxis’ reboot of the classic PC strategy game has finally gotten a release date. US customers will be able to play the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions on Oct. 9, while the international release will be on the 12th.
The Special Edition was also revealed, which will be available for $60. Expect an art book, fold-out poster of the XCOM base, XCOM insignia patch and multiple digital pieces such as the soundtrack and a desktop wallpaper.
Pre-orders will include the “Elite Soldier Pack,” which will be a soldier stylized in the essence of one of the original game’s look, down to the flat-top haircut.
