If an eagle-eyed redditor is to be believed, we may have some of the first information on Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut, slated to come out this summer. According to the source, the description for the Extended Cut is:
“An expanded ending for Mass Effect 3. Additional scenes and an extended epilogue reveal the impact of Shepard‘s choices on the future of the galaxy.”
Also, it seems that the Extended Cut will also be adding new maps and equipment to the multiplayer mix:
“The fighting is fiercest when it’s your home at stake! Mass Effect 3™: Earth adds mods, gear, and new maps for Rio, Vancouver, and London. It features 3 new weapons: Piranha assault shotgun, Acolyte pistol, and Typhoon light machine gun. Six new human N7 classes are also available: Destroyer, Paladin, Demolisher, Slayer, Shadow, and Fury!”
While all this info should be taken with some cautiousness, it is the same redditor who broke the story on Mass Effect 3′s Rebellion DLC.
All in all, this sounds like a great addition to Mass Effect 3, and hopefully it will expand on some of the elements (such as the color-coded ending) that fans felt were so weak.
