Halo 4 Covenant Weapons Trailer

Halo 4 is easily one of the most anticipated games coming out this year for the Xbox 360 and I am certain that tensions are especially high when Halo 4 could make or break 343 studious this year.  So it only seems fitting that they would be making every attempt possible to get the hype train rolling and via Microsoft’s website they did just that; Microsoft released a new trailer detailing the gameplay and slight adjustments to the Covenant weapons.

Now if you are like me then that video went a little fast and had slightly too much dub step.  So here is a full list of the weapons listed:

Storm Rifle (automatic)

Covenant Carbine (single-shot, medium-long range)

Fuel Rod (heavy weapon)

Needler (automatic, homing)

Plasma Pistol (close-short range)

Energy Sword (melee)

Concussion Rifle (close-medium range)

Beam Rifle (single-shot, long range)

Gravity Hammer (melee)

Many of these weapons are repeats from the series and this might upset those who are looking for new and innovative weapons; however, on closer inspection they have made some slight improvements to the weapons.  For example the Needler seems to shoot at a faster rate and the Energy Sword has added another finishing kill to its arsenal, all of which could easily change up the game-play.

Halo 4 is a game almost everyone who grew up with Halo is looking forward to and many hope that it cannot only expand on the series, but improve on some the resentment many had for Halo 3 and Halo Reach.
