Lara Croft has been around for as long as many people can remember, but lately the Tomb Raider games have been struggling to make a prominent presence when competing with other triple A story driven titles. Square Enix on the other hand is going to try and change this with their latest game Tomb Raider setting to release in early March of next year and after the success of Sleeping Dogs it appears they easily could. So in recent video released yesterday by Machinima’s YouTube account, Square Enix gives their fans insight into the narrative and the dialogue that is Tomb Raider in Tomb Raider Final Hours Episode 2: Origins of Story.
As we can see Tomb Raider is not simply going to follow the hardened adventurer, Lara Croft, on another one of her epic adventures, but instead tell the origin of Lara Croft, who she was and eventually how she became the Tomb Raider we all know and love.
The studios of Square Enix are pulling out all of the stops in an effort to make this game a cinematic, active and entertaining experience for their audiences and having played Tomb Raider this year at Pax Prime I am positive that this is a game everyone needs to keep on their radar.
Now what do you guys think? Do you feel this is just going to end up being lifeless experience that can be passes up or do you feel this is a game that must be bought day one?
Tomb Raider is set to release on March 5th of 2013 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
